UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC
Audited results for the year ended 31st March 2005 reflects a Gross Earnings of N26.1 billion as against N24.5 billion in 2004. Profit after tax stood at N4.9 billion compared with N4.5 billion in 2004. The directors are recommending a dividend of N0.60 per share. The date of the closure of register of members was on 23rd June 2005, while payment date would be advised later.

WAPIC INSURANCE PLC
Audited results for the 14 months ended 28th February 2005 reflects a Gross Premium of N1.7 billion as against N754.3 million as at 31st December 2003. Profit after tax stood at N328.2 million compared with N244.0 million in 2003. The directors are recommending a dividend of 22.5 kobo per share. The dates of the closure of register of members and payment would be advised later.

PRESTIGE ASSURANCE PLC
Audited results for the year ended 31st December 2004 reflects a Gross Premium of N903.5 million as against N732.7 million in 2003. Profit after tax stood at N201.9 million compared with N91.4 million in 2003. The directors are recommending a dividend of 11.46 kobo per share and a bonus of 1 for 2. The date of the closure of register of members is on 16th August 2005 while payment date is on 30th August 2005.

BETA GLASS PLC
Unaudited results for the first quarter ended 31st March 2005 reflects a turnover of N1.4 billion as against N993.7 million in the comparable period of 2004. Profit after tax stood at N105.8 million compared with loss after tax of N119.1 million in 2004.
